This acrylic still life by Mr.Kefor is very composed. Everything is so close together and the lines are all mostly square with some curves. Most of the same colors are shared throughout the paintings like browns and reds. The plane in the background really ties in with the whole piece. The colored paper is a good way to show field.

The value shows how dark the items are underneath and how the top is lighter. Round shapes in this painting are the skulls and the monkey. Square shapes in the painting include the cinder blocks, the paper in the back and the treasure chest box. With all these random items in the still life he still found a way to make them all tie in together.

Green Eye Look
20 x 16 inches – 2003
Acrylic on canvas art board

Michael McDyer was born in 1957 and loves to use color in his paintings. His subject is beauty of human form, nature or color and he uses texture and light to create rich scenes or expressive abstract paintings. Michael was born in Miami, Florida and has lived his whole adult life in the New York metropolitan area. He loves to draw and he is also an avid photographer. His paintings are held in several private collections, also the corporate collections of American Express, and Brooklyn College.
In this painting there is horizontal composition. Also there are horizontal colors that make the eye look sad and a little depressed. The shading is also a big factor in the sadness that overcomes the eye. What really makes the eye itself stand out, is the lines and arches. This eye shows a different way of painting and using certain ways to make one eye ball really stand out.
